As Jason and I got to know each other before the shoot, I discovered him to be a truly remarkable, loving, decidedly spiritual human being. The rest of the afternoon, before the camera, revealed what I can only call the profoundly loving connection that he and Veronica had developed over many years.
I was having lunch in San Francisco with my dear friend, Veronica, when the subject of sex and disability came up. I explained that I was beginning work on a special series of couples photos, celebrating and educating people about the sexuality of people with physical disabilities.
