It’s often the faces and hands that most express the quality and intimacy of the connection between sexual partners, and it’s the intimacy of sex that interests me the most and that I work hardest to capture on photos.
When I talk with prospective subjects about how I approach my couples photography, I often mention that I’m likely to focus on faces and hands as much (or more) than I do on genitals.
