When I discuss the possibility of a sexual photo shoot with a new couple I always make a point of encouraging them to just be themselves and not to feel that they have to deliver some larger-than-life images or moments to me for the shoot to be successful.
“As long as you are being genuine and present with each other, and enjoying yourselves,” I tell them, “there will be wonderful images.”
The Seattle shoot with Morgan and Michael was very much a case in point. I had met Morgan during the weekend of the Seattle Erotic Art Festival. We scheduled a photo session for her with her partner, Michael, for the following Monday afternoon, shortly before I flew home to San Francisco.
